SD Eibar (Liga BBVA) launched the #8mEibarFem campaign, on 08/03/2016, aiming to promote the importance of women in the running of the club, on International Women's Day, which is celebrated on 8 March.

"53% of employees involved in the daily management of the club are women and three of the five departments that make up the team are headed by women. These are figures that highlight the importance of women in the decision-making processes of the club," said SD Eibar.

The Basque club featured the women who make up its staff on the social networks of the club, using the hashtag #8mEibarFem in each of the posts about International Women's Day, on 08/03/2016.

  • "SD Eibar are a club tries to manage itself in a modern, creative and rigorous way. The club also aims to set itself apart from the stereotypes that masculinise corporate governance bodies, and it standardises the place of women in all positions, despite its status as a football club, where the place of men has always been predominant," announced the club, on 08/03/2016.
