Euro 2016: "Develop the reputation, image and sales of Hyundai in France" (Lionel French Keogh)

"Our partnerships in football are designed to engage consumers around their passion. Hyundai has to be in the same place as our consumers. We want to create emotion around the brand," said Lionel French Keogh, CEO of Hyundai Motors France, the French subsidiary of the Korean automaker, on 28/02/2016.

Hyundai is the shirt sponsor of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1, two-year contract ending after the 2015-16 season, negotiations are ongoing for a two-year extension) and a partner of FIFA since 1999 (current contract ending after the 2022 World Cup). Hyundai and its subsidiary KIA are also partners of UEFA until the end of Euro 2016.

"With Euro 2016, the goal is threefold: to develop the reputation, enhance the brand image and increase Hyundai sales in France," said Lionel French Keogh, speaking at Parc OL (59,186 seats), ahead of the match between OL - Paris Saint-Germain FC (2-1, Ligue 1 Matchday 28, on Sunday 28/02/2016).

Hyundai Motors France, which has 189 outlets in France, sold 23,968 vehicles in 2015 in France (+39.6% compared to 2014), and has set a target of 26,000 sales for 2016…
