FC Barcelona: the Vietnamese bank SHB becomes a regional partner in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia

SHB (Saigon Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank) has become the exclusive official bank of FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, on 08/03/2016. The duration of the contract was not specified, but it does stipulate that Barça will play a friendly match in Vietnam in 2017, according to local media.

The partnership has been activated with SHB marketing bank cards featuring the colours of FC Barcelona to its two million customers through its network of 500 agencies in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. The Vietnamese bank may also sell branded FC Barcelona products in its branches (scarves, shirts, and more).

Other activations, the terms of which have not yet been finalised, will see SHB customers earn trips to Spain to attend Barça matches at the Nou Camp (99,500 seats). FC Barcelona will also organise internships in Vietnam for young Vietnamese players and coaches.

  • SHB has been a regional partner of Manchester City FC (Premier League Top English professional football division. 20 clubs. ) in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia from 2014-15 to the end of the 2015-16 season.
