Athletic Club Bilbao: Euskaltel becomes the shirt sponsor of the club women's team until 2018-19

The Basque telecommunications company Euskaltel has becomes the shirt sponsor of the women's team of Athletic Club Bilbao (Liga BBVA) for the remainder of the 2015-16 season and the following three seasons (ie until 2018-19), announced the club on 08/03/2016, on International Women's Day.

Euskaltel is one of the official suppliers of the Athletic Club Bilbao and one of the honorary members of the Fundación Athletic, the foundation of the Basque club. Socios (public members) of Athletic Bilbao had prevented the club from having a shirt sponsor until 2008, when the club reached an agreement with the oil company Petronor (until 2014-15, estimated at €2.55m per season). The Basque bank Kutxabank is the shirt sponsor of the club from 2015-16 until 2018-19.
