FC Barcelona: a Japanese firm and a Catalan firm jointly appointed architects of the "Nou Camp Nou"

"FC Barcelona has announced that the Espai Barça jury has unanimously selected the bid by Nikken Sekkei + Pascual i Ausió Arquitectes as the winner of the tender for the design of the new Camp Nou," announced FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA), on the 08/03/2016.

The proposal put forward by the Japanese agency Nikken Sekkei Architecture and the Catalan firm Pascual i Ausio Arquitectes was selected by a jury composed of nine members: five from FC Barcelona including the president Josep Maria Bartomeu, three from the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC) and one from the Barcelona City Council. FC Barcelona were presented, on 08/09/2015, with a list of eight pre-selected international firms for the renovation of the Camp Nou (the "Nou Camp Nou") following a competition launched in June 2015.
