Paulo Fonseca appointed manager of FC Porto

On the 10/06/2013, Paulo Fonseca was appointed manager of FC Porto. The Portuguese manager has signed a contract until 2015. He replaces Vitor Pereira who has had the job since 2011. On the 09/06/2013, Pereira was appointed manager of Al-Ahli (UAE) on a contract until 2015.

Fonseca leaves Pacos de Ferreira, who finished third in the Portuguese championship in 2012/13 and for the first time in their history, qualified for the Champions League. It is estimated that the termination fee that Porto paid Pacos de Ferreira is in the region of €1m.
