Serie A: Pirelli extends its shirt sponsorship of Inter Milan until 2021 (€12m/year)

The Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli has extended its shirt sponsorship of FC Internazionale Milano (Serie A TIM) for five years on 14/03/2016. The Italian brand, the main shirt sponsor of Inter since the 1995-96 season, will now be linked to the Milan club until the end of the 2020-21 season.

"The new five-year deal comprises a fixed amount and a variable figure based on the results of the first team," said Inter Milan. "The basic agreement includes a fixed base payment close to €12m per season, but with one important variable which can lead to double that amount if the team achieves the treble (Serie A TIM, TIM Cup and Champions League)," said Marco Tronchetti Provera, executive vice-president and CEO of Pirelli, to Italian media on 14/03/2016. Pirelli is paying Inter an estimated €12.9m in the 2015-16 season.
