France: Didier Quillot unanimously appointed CEO of the LFP, succeeds Jean-Pierre Hugues

Didier Quillot (FRA), 56 years old, has been appointed the CEO of the LFP by the board of the French league, which met in Paris (FRA) on 15/03/2016. "He was appointed unanimously by the clubs, the families (of football), independents," said Frederic Thiriez, president of the LFP, after the meeting.

Didier Quillot resigns, as of 15/03/2016, his independent position as a member of the board of the LFP, which he had held since 12/10/2012. The date of the election of his successor as an independent member of the board has not determined.

As CEO, he succeeds Jean-Pierre Hugues, in place at the French league since 2005, and who will retire. The two men will work together until 15/04/2016, the actual date of the office change and also the date of the extraordinary general assembly which must approve the new statutes of the LFP, adopted by the board on 15/03/2016.

Didier Quillot was the preference of the specially convened selection committee composed of Frédéric Thiriez, president of the LFP, and four leaders of Ligue 1 clubs: Jean-Michel Aulas (Olympique Lyonnais), Jean-Claude Blanc…
