France: L'Equipe 21 to broadcast the final of the Belgian Cup between Club Brugge - Standard Liege

L'Equipe 21 will broadcast the final of the Belgian Cup between Club Brugge KV - Standard de Liege on Sunday 20/03/2016 (15:45 CET), announced the French free DTT channel on 17/03/2016. The final of the 61^st edition of the competition will be held at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.

"Television should show events and not just news, as the channel was originally envisaged," said Cyril Linette, CEO of SAS L'Equipe on 16/02/2016. "We have to reorganise the channel and focus on sporting events," he added in an interview with Le Figaro.

There will soon be a "very significant change in programming in favour of live events," announced the management of L'Equipe during an extraordinary business meeting on 15/02/2016.

• L'Equipe 21 will broadcast the Russian Premier League match between FK Krasnodar - FK Lokomotiv Moskva on 20/03/2016 (kick-off at 18:15 CET).
  • The channel owns the broadcasting rights of the Russian Championship for the 2015-2018 period.
