Australia: Optus acquires the broadcasting rights for 64 matches at the 2018 World Cup

The telecommunications group Optus has acquired the audiovisual rights in Australia, for every match at the 2018 World Cup, on 17/03/2016.

These rights were acquired via a sublicense from the Australian public broadcasting group SBS, which bought the exclusive Australian TV rights from FIFA, for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, on 27/10/2011.
