USA : TV-channel ONE World Sports to acquire broadcast rights to the New York Cosmos

American TV-channel ONE World Sports has acquired the broadcast rights to the seven home games that the New York Cosmos will play during the 2013 NASL (National American Soccer League, minor league) fall season, from the 03/08/2013 to the 02/11/2013.

The club remains in discussion with various potential broadcast partners, including ONE World Sports for distribution of its road games.

ONE World Sports is owned by U.S. media company ONE Media Corp.

• New York Cosmos owners have applied to the acquisition of the 21^th MLS license (Major League Soccer, North American professional football league), but it was assigned to New York City FC, on the 21/05/2013.
• The Cosmos have decided to join the NASL on the 28/05/2013, but still wish to join the MLS in the future.
• The NASL is now composed of eight teams. The season is divided into two periods: the Spring Championship (from the 06/04 to the 04/07/2013) and the Fall Championship (from the 03/08 to the 02/11/2013).
