Match-fixing: UEFA opens disciplinary proceedings against Steaua Bucharest and Besiktas

UEFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against Steaua Bucharest (Romania) and Besiktas (Turkey) on the 10/06/2013, following accusations of match-fixing.

Both cases will be submitted to the judgment of the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body on 21/06/2013 at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon (Switzerland).

The UEFA disciplinary inspector have passed on the results of their investigation involving Fenerbahçe SK (Turkey) to the Control and Disciplinary Body. The club, as well as five Fenerbahçe officials are suspected of having taken part in match-fixing.

This case will be handled by UEFA authorities on the 22/06/2013. The decision will be made public in the last week of June.
