WaitTime, a US digital services company, is developing a system that provides real-time indicators of waiting times for multiple services available in sports arenas and event halls. The first sports franchise to have adopted this technology is the Detroit Pistons (NBA), who have installed the service at the Palace of Auburn Hills arena (20,000 seats for basketball games) in suburban Detroit (Michigan, USA) in order to enhance the digital customer experience.

This service is available on the official Detroit Pistons app as well as on screens in the stadium. Thanks to its artificial intelligence system, the WaitTime company, based in Detroit, is also able to offer information on crowd movements in the various areas of the stadium.
