Brazil: Esporte Interativo agrees a deal for the distribution of FC Santos TV rights for 2019-2024

FC Santos São Paolo have signed an agreement with Esporte Interativo, the Brazilian pay-TV channel owned by the Turner Group (Time Warner), for the distribution of the pay-TV rights of Santos matches in the Chevrolet Brasileirão Série A for the 2019-24 period, according to the Brazilian media on 11/03/2016. The amount of the agreement between Esporte Interativo and Santos FC is reported as 40m reais (€10m) by the Brazilian media.

The broadcaster has already signed similar agreements with CA Paranaense, SC Internacional and Coritiba FBC. This is a new step towards the acquisition of the pay-TV rights for the Brazilian championship for the 2019-2024 period -- currently held by TV Globo -- for which Esporte Interativo have offered around 550m reais (€133m as of 25/03/2016) according to the Brazilian media.
