Clasico Barça - Real: Barcelona dominates economically and on social networks

With €608m in turnover in 2014-15, FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) economically exceeded Real Madrid CF (Liga BBVA), which generated €578m in 2014-15, while the two clubs clash at the Camp Nou for the second El Clasico of the season in La Liga (Matchday 31) on Saturday 02/04/2016 (kickoff: 20:30 CET).

Financially beaten in 2013-14 by Real Madrid CF (€550 million in turnover for Real against €530m for Barça), FC Barcelona mainly benefit from a 33% increase in commercial and marketing revenues, up from €169m in 2013-14 to €225m in 2014-15, as well as 16% growth of the club's ticketing revenue in the past year, up from €128m to €149m.

Despite the current lead taken by FC Barcelona in turnover, Real Madrid CF remain the football club with the highest estimated value, according to the Forbes magazine on 06/05/2015: Real were then valued at €2.87bn, against €2.78bn for Barça, second in that particular ranking.
