MLS: digital activation to rebroadcast the first game of the league, 20 years later, on 06/04/2016

The first match in the history of MLS, between the San Jose Clash (now named the San Jose Earthquakes) and DC United on 06/04/1996 (1-0, 31,683 spectators at Spartan Stadium in San Jose, California), is being rebroadcast on 06/04/2016 at 20:00 US East Coast time (02:00 CET in the morning) via a stream on the official MLS website, announced the league of North American soccer on 05/04/2016.

To celebrate this twentieth anniversary, MLS is implementing a programme which starts at 19:30 local time on the social network Facebook with a Q&A session, with Jeff Agoos, former player of DC United and current vice-president of competitions for MLS, and Mark Abbott, the deputy commissioner of MLS -- Abbott was, in fact, the first official employee of MLS at the foundation of the league's business structure on 17/12/1993.
