Champions League: 9.1 million viewers in Germany for Wolfsburg - Real Madrid, on ZDF and Sky

VfL Wolfsburg - Real Madrid CF, (2-0) the first leg quarter-final match of the 2015-16 Champions League, drew 8.63 million viewers on average on the German public channel ZDF, on Wednesday 06/04/2016 (kick-off at 20:25 CET).

This figure representsed an audience share of 28.7%, and allowed ZDF to achieve the best performance of the day on the German TV market. The match was also co-broadcast in Germany by the pay-TV group Sky Deutschland, as a multiplex with the evening's other match, Paris Saint-Germain - Manchester City FC (2-2). This multiplex drew 480,000 subscribers on average.

In total, 9.11 million viewers in Germany followed VfL Wolfsburg - Real Madrid. The second leg, scheduled on Tuesday 12/04/2016, will be broadcast exclusively by Sky Deutschland in Germany.
