StubHub has launched new ticketing application that users can test the vision they will have in the stadium before purchase, through a virtual reality device, announced the ticketing resale platform on 31/03/2016. This application, available on iOS and Android, is already operational for the stadium of American football NRG Stadium (72,220 seats, Houston, Texas, USA) and the baseball stadium AT&T Park (41,915 seats, San Francisco, California, USA).

"There maps are kind of unique to each venue. The value we see in this is for users to be able to really get the immersive view of what their seat will look like prior to purchasing. We didn’t want to do something just for fun or [as] a marketing gimmick. Being able to see what the view is like solves a real problem for customers. Are those seats that are closer to the court really worth the extra $50?" said Marcus Shelksohn, head of products for mobile apps of StubHub.
