PSV Eindhoven (Eredivisie) are selling, from 05/04/2015, a special shirt of the club to honour Philips, the Dutch technology company specialising in lighting and health products, which has appeared on the PSV Eindhoven kit since 1982, but will no longer be the main shirt sponsor of the club from the 2016-17 season.

PSV (Philips Sport Vereniging) was created by the Philips Group in August 1913. The company, which is no longer present in the shareholding of the club, paid a contract estimated at €7m in 2015-16. Although the Philips group will no longer be the main shirt sponsor, it has extended its partnership with PSV until 2025-26, for a total amount of €22.5m over ten years.

The group maintains the naming rights to the Philips Stadion (35,000 seats). The shirt in honour of Philips, designed with the Umbro supplier, will be worn by PSV Eindhoven in the last two matches of the 2015-16 season. It is inspired by the 1982-83 club kit, the first displaying the Philips brand, and features the logo used by the club between 1917 and 1937, in which the name Philips appeared.
