Southampton FC (Premier League) have launched a new service via social network Twitter, announced the club on 06/04/2016. This is a private messaging system sent directly to the club's followers who have subscribed to this service to be able to follow the score of Southampton matches in real-time.

To receive these mobile alerts, supporters must send "Play" to the direct messaging area of the official account of the club. To date, this service is confined to only cover the scores of Southampton matches, but it could quickly evolve to include other information, or even a commercial component.

  • Southampton FC are currently 7th in the 2015-16 Premier League table, with 50 points after 33 matchdays.
