NFL: the three games in London for the 2016 season will not be streamed on the internet

The NFL will not broadcast, in live streaming, the three regular season games counting which will take place at Wembley Stadium (90,000 seats) and at Twickenham stadium (82,000 seats) in London (ENG) in the fall of 2016, according to Reuters on 13/04/13/2016. The decision comes a week after the social network Twitter acquired (on 05/04/2016) the digital broadcasting rights, in full, to 10 games out of 18 planned in the framework of the "Thursday Night Fooball" package for the 2016 season.

"When we discussed potential streaming packages with interested parties, there were many options on the table, including the London games. Ultimately the package we agreed on with Twitter involved ten of our Thursday night games, which we felt was the best option at that point. We’ll continue to evaluate options to put our games on digital platforms, making them as widely accessible to fans around the world as possible," said a spokesman for the NFL to Reuters.
