FIFA: Gianni Infantino to visit Russia and Qatar, from 19 to 22/04/2016

Gianni Infantino, the FIFA president, will travel to Russia and Qatar, the host countries of the next two World Cups (2018 and 2022), from 19 to 22/04/2016, announced the international federation, on 15/04/2016.

The FIFA president will begin his two-day stay in Russia with a visit to the Moscow Luzhniki Stadium, which will host the opening match and the final of the 2018 World Cup. After a series of meetings with the Local Organising Committee (LOC) as well as with the Russian Federation, Gianni Infantino will attend, on 20/04/2016, a special session of the board of the RFU devoted to the preparatory phase of the 2018 World Cup, stated FIFA.

After Moscow, Gianni Infantino will fly to Doha (QAT) in the evening on 20/04/2016, where he will meet members of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy of the 2022 World as members of the Qatari government, added FIFA.
