"We want to see the club become very settled in the Chinese market. RCD Espanyol will become very well known in China. We are very, very connected to the Rastar Group headquarters in Shantou (Guangdong province, China)," stated Ramon Robert Estella, the CEO of RCD Espanyol (Liga BBVA), in an interview with News Tank Football on 03/05/2016.

The Chinese conglomerate the Rastar Group acquired 54% of the Barcelona-based club on 19/01/2016, and Ramon Robert talked about all the changes at RCD Espanyol in recent months. "Our supporters see the stability that Mr. Chen Yensheng and the Rastar Group have brought to the club, and they understand that we are building something very positive," said the CEO. "We want to change RCD Espanyol from a 'football club' to a 'football company.'"

Ramon Robert also talked about the impact of the new collective audiovisual rights contracts for clubs in Spain: "We had €22.9m in TV revenue in 2014-15. This season, 2015-16, we expect €34.5m.
