"The cumulative losses of the 40 clubs in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 decreased by 30% from the 2013-14 season, down to €67m in total for 2014-15 (€56m for the Ligue 1 clubs and €11m for Ligue 2 clubs)," said the French LFP, which published the annual report from the French DNCG management control office about the accounts and activities of French professional football clubs for the 2014-15 season, on 27/04/2016 (News Tank Football received these documents on 30 and 31/03/2016).

Paris Saint-Germain, with €484m in revenue excluding transfer activities, in 2014-15, represented more than one third (34.1%) of the cumulative revenue of the 20 clubs in Ligue 1 (€1.41bn). Wage bill and total expenses amounted to €254m, and the Paris club posted a net income of €10.5m.

"The 2014-15 season marks less dependence of the clubs vis-à-vis their shareholders, as evidenced by the decrease in written-off amounts, which amounted to €21m in total, against €125m in write-offs in 2013-14," said the LFP.
