Club Atlético de Madrid - FC Bayern Munich (1-0), the first leg semi-final match of the 2015-16 Champions League, drew 11.69 million viewers on average on the German public TV channel ZDF, on Wednesday 27/04/2016 (kick-off at 20:45 CET), a season high for a Champions League game in 2015-16. This figure represented an audience share of 36.8%, and allowed the channell to achieve the best performance of the day in the German TV market.

SL Benfica - FC Bayern Munich (2-2) the second leg quarter-final of the 2015-16 Champions League (Bayern advanced 3-2 on aggregate), had drawn 10.31 million viewers on average on ZDF, on Wednesday 13/04/2016 (kick-off at 20:45 CET), for an audience share of 32.8%.

The Atlético - Bayern audience is less than the record in 2014-15: the FC Barcelona - Bayern Munich (3-0) Champions League semi-final had drawn 13.46 million viewers on average on ZDF, on 06/06/2015 20:45 CET.
