"The cumulative losses of the 40 clubs in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 decreased by 30% from the 2013-14 season, down to €67m in total for 2014-15 (€56m for the Ligue 1 clubs and €11m for Ligue 2 clubs)," said the French LFP, which published the annual report from the French DNCG management control office about the accounts and activities of French professional football clubs for the 2014-15 season, on 27/04/2016 (News Tank Football received these documents on 30 and 31/03/2016).

"Matchday and ticketing showed good revenue growth. The effect of the new stadiums is beginning to bear fruit. In terms of revenues, ticket sales totaled €181m, an increase of 10% compared to the 2013-14 season due to record crowds in stadiums (22,362 Ligue 1 average per game)," added the French league (but the average attendance in 2015-16, after 35 matchdays, is 20,655 spectators, down nearly 8% compared to 2014-15).
