West Ham United FC (Premier League) will inaugurate the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (60,000 places, renovated for football) on 07/08/2016 with a club friendly match against Juventus (Serie A TIM), the English club announced on 25/04/2016.

West Ham will play in Boleyn Ground (35,000 places) until the end of the 2015-16 season, but will become the resident club in the stadium which hosted the 2012 Olympic Games in London from 2016-17. The match against Juventus will be the first played in the enclosure, before the beginning of the 2016-17 Premier League season on 13/08/2016.

"We are delighted to be marking such a monumental day in West Ham United’s history by welcoming one of the world’s biggest clubs to our fantastic new home. It was always our intention to open the new 60,000-capacity Stadium on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with a fixture fitting of the occasion, and the visit of the reigning Italian champions Juventus is most certainly that," said co-chairmen and club shareholders David Sullivan and David Gold, in a joint statement.

  • Tickets for the event are primarily reserved…
