Gruppo Milan, the holding company which owns AC Milan (Serie A TIM), posted a turnover of €221m during the 2015 fiscal year (from 01/01 to 31/12/2015), down 5.4% compared to 2014 (€233.6m), according to the consolidated financial statement of the company, released by its board of directors on 15/03/2016.

This decrease in revenues was mainly due to the worsening sporting performance of the club (AC Milan finished 8th in the Serie A TIM in 2013-14, and 10th in 2014-15). This is evidenced by the decline in the club's audiovisual revenues -- from €89.8m in 2014 to €84m in 2015, -6.5% -- and the matchday revenue generated by the club in the Italian first division (€14.5m in 2014 compared to €5.6m in 2015, -61.4%).

Gruppo Milan recorded an operating loss of €83.2m on 31/12/2015, 40.9% larger than in 2014 (-€59.1m). The net loss of the holding company amounted to €89.3m, a slight improvement of 2.2% year on year (-€91.3m on 31/12/2014).
