The Court of Arbitation for Sport has ordered FIFA to "take all necessary steps to admit the Gibraltar Football Association as a full member as soon as possible," on 02/05/2016. Although this request was made to FIFA, the Lausanne (SUI) based organisation has refused to forcefully integrate Gibraltar into the international football body.
