UEFA: Florence Hardouin, deputy CEO of the FFF, is elected onto the Executive Committee

Florence Hardouin, 49 years old, deputy CEO of the FFF since 07/02/2013, was elected as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee, by the congress in Budapest (HUN), on 03/05/2016. Hardouin won 33 votes compared to 21 for Norway's Karen Espelund, a UEFA Executive Committee member since 2012.

This is the first time the UEFA Congress (which comprises the 54 national member federations) has elected a woman as member of the Executive Committee, following the amendment of the regulations adopted at the 11th Extraordinary Congress in Zurich (SUI) on 25/02/2016, which entered into force on 01/03/2016. The female member of the Executive Committee was previously appointed by the Executive Committee itself and Karen Espelund was re-appointed by acclamation by the Executive Committee, in Prague (CZE), on 30/06/2015.
