On the 18/06/2013, Turkish club Besiktas (3rd in the Süper Lig, 2012/13) signed a preliminary naming agreement with the Turkish branch of the telecoms group Vodafone, for their Inonu Stadium (capacity: 32,000), currently under renovation. The contract, which would also see Vodafone as the club's main shirt sponsor is estimated at €20m per year, according to the Turkish press.

The stadium is set to be finished by November 2014 at a cost of €74.6m. The renovations include increasing the stadium's capacity to 40,000, as well as building a new roof to cover all stands. The west and south stands are not affected by the renovations. The works started on the 03/06/2013.

The agreement between Vodafone and Besiktas would be the second naming contract in the Turkish league, following the deal between Turk Telecom and Galatasaray (Turk Telecom Arena - 52,000 seats).
