Vivendi: turnover of €2.49bn (-1.4%) and a net profit of €99m in Q1 of 2016

The French telecommunications and media group Vivendi has announced a turnover of €2.49bn for the first quarter in 2016 which ended on 03/31/2016 (-1.4% compared to the same period in 2015) on 11/05/2016. Vivendi posted a raw operating profit of €228m (+9.9% at constant scope), an adjusted operating profit of €213mn (+3.6% at constant scope) and an adjusted net profit of €99m (-27.3%).

On 31/03/2016 Vivendi had a net worth of €4.8bn, equating to -25% compared to that on 31/12/2015 (€6.4bn).

The media group Canal+ posted a turnover of €1.328bn for the first quarter of 2016 (-3.1% compared to that of the first quarter in 2015). The French premium cable television channel has a global portfolio of 15.4 million subscribers, up 170,000 in a year, but in France subscriptions (with contracts) continued to decline, reaching 8.276 million on 31/03/2016, a decrease of 183,000 over three months.
