SD Eibar is a club against the establishment, a bit revolutionary," said Alex Aranzabal, the former president of Sociedad Deportiva Eibar (Liga BBVA) from 2009 to 23/05/2016, to News Tank Football on 27/05/2016

Last week, as planned, Alex Aranzabal left the position of president and was replaced by Amaia Gorostiza, who became the first female president in the history of the club as well as the only female at the head of a club in the European Top 5 countries. Aranzabal led SD Eibar since 2009, when the played in the third tier of Spanish football. The Basque club, 14^th in the 2015-16 Liga BBVA with 43 points, will again play in the Spanish first division next season, which will be their third consecutive season in the Spanish top flight.
