SC Corinthians Paulista will now broadcast pre-match videos captured by drones via Periscope, a live streaming video application, stated the Brazilian club from São Paulo on 13/05/2016. The drones will take up several positions around the Arena Corinthians (47,000 seats) and show images from their vantage point, such as the dressing rooms, the tunnel, the pitch and the area around the stadium as fans arrive. Users can choose their own angle on their mobile devices.

Available since 26/03/2015, Periscope can benefit from followers of the club present on Twitter, its parent company since 13/03/2015 after it was purchased for approximately $100m (€91.9m). This application allows users to broadcast live videos they have filmed direct from their smartphone. These videos are accessible for 24 hours and users can interact by posting comments or endorsements.
