Leopold Windtner has been re-elected president of the OFB (Austrian Football Federation) until 2017 at the organisation's annual general meeting on the 16/06/2013. He has held the position since February 2009.

The most important challenges for the president in his next term are qualification for the finals of Euro 2016 in France and the fight against international betting fraud. Windtner will also host the 39th UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) congress in Vienna in 2015.

The president wants to develop Austria's role as a country that develops footballers. He also wants to see the national team regularly qualifying for tournament finals. "Not being involved should become an exception," Windtner said on the 16/06/2013.

For the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, Austria, after having played six out of ten matches, are second in Group C, five points behind Germany and level on points with Sweden and the Republic of Ireland.
