Champions League: Mediaset Premium launches a 4K channel for the final on 28/05/2016

The pay-TV company Mediaset Premium announced that it will broadcast the final of the Champions League, Real Madrid CF (Liga BBVA) - Club Atletico de Madrid (Liga BBVA), on Saturday 28/05/2016, at 20:45 CET, in Italy in 4K technology, on 17/05/2016. The match, held at the San Siro in Milan (ITA), will be broadcast in 4K on the channel Premium Sports, the first ever Italian sports channel in 4K, created for this occasion.

The new channel, seen on channel 391 of Italian DTT, will only be available for Mediaset Premium contract subscribers of the Champions League.

The Italian Silvio Berlusconi's free and pay-TV company, Mediaset, won the exclusive broadcasting rights in Italy for the Champions League from 2015-2018, on 10/02/2014. The amount of the acquisition is estimated by Italian media to be worth €700m, or just over €230m per season.
