Italy: cumulative turnover of €2.21bn for Serie A clubs in 2014-15, -3.9% (€2.30bn in 2013-14)

The cumulative turnover for clubs in the Serie A TIM amounted to €2.21bn in 2014-15, according to the ReportCalcio 2016 published by the FIGC on 24/05/2016. This cumulative turnover amount of Italian top flight clubs is down 3.9% compared to 2013-14 (€2.30bn).

Meanwhile, the cumulative expenses of Serie A clubs have risen, from €2.44bn in 2013-14 to €2.50bn in 2014-15. This marks a year-on-year spending increase of 2.5%. Thus, the overall net result of Serie A clubs in 2014-15 increased to -€379m, a 104% increase from the negative net result of -€189m in 2013-14.

"The overall sustainability of Serie A clubs deteriorated in every sector: the critical economic and financial situation affects almost all indicators as a consequence of the lack of capital injections occurring in the last two years," stated the ReportCalcio 2016, conducted by the auditing agencies AREL and PwC, and published by the FIGC on 24/05/2016.
