Spain: "LFP World Challenge" matches, featuring 3 LaLiga clubs, have been broadcast on YouTube

The matches of the US tour featuring 3 La Liga clubs - Real Sociedad (Liga BBVA), SD Eibar (Liga BBVA) and RCD Espanyol (Liga BBVA) - were broadcast live on YouTube from 19 to 25/06/2016, announced the Spanish League on 11/05/2016. The tour, dubbed the "LFP World Challenge", took Real Sociedad and SD Eibar to the United States and Espanyol to Bolivia for 2 matches each.

LaLiga will also broadcast a tournament between Spanish youth academies live on its YouTube channel from 02 to 05/06/2016. La Liga's YouTube channel has 1.159 million subscribers, as of 26/05/2016.

La Liga and the Spanish broadcaster Mediapro have already partnered with YouTube, the internet video sharing and streaming platform, for the broadcast of the 2015-16 edition of the Copa del Rey, for international TV markets, on 26/10/2015: they created "LaLigaTVCopa" a paid YouTube channel where users could follow the Spanish Cup live and in high definition, in pay-per match (€4.99) or via a subscription of €19.99 for the entire 2015-16 edition (except the final).
