Facebook: follower growth of the European Top 5 leagues over the 2015-16 season (August to June)

The five 2015-16 winners of the major European championships count more than 250.2 million cumulative fans on the social network Facebook, or 40% of the total number of fans of the Premier League, the Liga BBVA, the Serie A TIM, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 (616 million Facebook fans in total), according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/06/2016.

Three of the five teams that won their domestic leagues, FC Barcelona (ESP), Paris Saint-Germain (FRA) and Bayern Munich (GER), also topped the national rankings of the most followed clubs on Facebook, while the other two, Juventus (ITA) and Leicester City (ENG) are in second and seventh, respectively.
