Twitter: follower growth of the European Top 5 leagues over the 2015-16 season (August to June)

The 2015-16 champions of the five major European leagues have accumulated more than 37.2 million followers on the social network Twitter, 32% of the total number of followers of the Premier League, the Liga BBVA, the Serie A TIM, Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga (116.1 million followers in total), according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/06/2016.

Among the league champions, Paris Saint-Germain (FRA) and FC Bayern Munich (GER) topped the national rankings of the most followed clubs on Twitter via their main accounts, while FC Barcelona (ESP) and Juventus (ITA) are second and Leicester City FC (ENG) tenth.
