TV5MONDE Afrique acquired the broadcasting rights, for Sub-Saharan Africa, to the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil, announced the channel on 01/06/2016. These rights were acquired in partnership with TV Media Sport, a French media rights agency, and Infront Sports & Media, a Swiss marketing and media rights agency.
