FIFA: "We will no longer tolerate shady dealings and deception" (Gianni Infantino)

"I asked, with the support of the Council (the body that replaced the FIFA Executive Committee) who are in the process off assembling a legal and financial audit so that we can know what has really been going on at FIFA in recent years, and if there have been abuses. It is a difficult process, but we need to show all those who think that they can continue with their shady dealings as if nothing has happened as well as those who wish to keep their practices secret in a web of deception, that we will no longer tolerate it and furthermore that we will battle against it with all our might, for the good of football," declared Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA, on 05/06/2016.

"The interim conclusions of this audit are rather surprising, however I'm not going to be dragged down to my adversaries level by nourishing vain polemics," added Gianni Infantino, to the Swiss newspaper Le Matin Dimanche.

"The evidence reveals the coordinated effort of three former leaders of FIFA who acted so as to increase their personal wealth to a total of over CHF 79m (€70m) in the last five years…
