Premier League: Canal+ Afrique extends its TV rights to the English first division for 2016-2019

The pay-TV group Canal+ Afrique, a branch of Canal+ Overseas which broadcasts in 25 sub-Saharan countries, extended its Premier League broadcasting rights for three seasons (2016-2019), on 03/06/2016. The amount of the agreement has not been announced.

Canal+ Afrique acquired the rights to broadcast Euro 2016 and the Copa America Centenario on 01/06/2016. The 32 matches of this edition of the Copa America Centenario and the 51 matches of Euro 2016 will be broadcast on Canal+ Sport 1 and Canal+ Sport 2.

Altice, a Dutch holding company of telecommunications groups and cable operators, acquired the 2016-2019 broadcasting rights, in France, to the Premier League, the group announced on 26/11/2015. Altice will succeed the French pay-TV group Canal+, the broadcaster of the Premier League in France without interruption since 2006, for the 2016-17 season.

The pay-TV group beIN Media Group has extended its broadcasting rights deal for the Premier League in the MENA region until the end of the 2018-19 season, on 02/11/2015. beIN Sports was the official broadcaster of the English first division…
