Manchester United agree deals to broadcast MUTV in Norway, Iceland and Burma

2012/13 Premier League champions Manchester United have agreed TV deals in Norway, Iceland and Burma on the 21/06/2013. The agreements will see MUTV, the club’s dedicated TV network, broadcast in Burma and Norway for the first time, with coverage provided by SkyNet and TV2 respectively.

SkyNet announced that 23 million viewers had watched United games in Burma over the first seven months of the 2012/13 season.

Norway's TV2 announced they secured a 3-year deal with MU, starting on the 01/07/2013 that will offer MUTV on its online pay-tv platform TV2 Sumo.

The Norwegian supporters’ club boasts more members than any other official branch in the world, according to Manchester United.

United have also extended their broadcast deal with Iceland’s 365 network, which will continue to carry MUTV for the next two years. 365 already broadcasts MUTV content via its Stod 2 Sport channel.

The new agreements mean that MUTV now has 22 international broadcast partners, covering 56 territories across Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa.
