Euro 2016: Axel Springer acquire (sublicense) digital rights for the 51 matches for Bild.de platform

The German public broadcasting companies ARD and ZDF concluded a sublicense deal with Axel Springer for the digital media rights, to be used on their Bild.de platform in Germany, for the 51 matches of Euro 2016, announced the latter company on 06/06/2016. These rights were subliscensed by SportA, the media rights and marketing agency owned by ARD and ZDF. No financial details were communicated.

Bild will provide, on its website, summaries of all games, 45 minutes after the final whistle. Axel Springer already does this with its "Bundesliga bei Bild" offer, available since the beginning of the 2013-14 season, and which gives access, 40 minutes after the end of the match, to highlights (from 90 seconds to six minutes in length) of matches of the Bundesliga and the 2.Bundesliga. Users can view the on-demand content on their computer, tablet or mobile phone.
