The first group stage match for the host country USA of the Copa America Centenario, USA - Colombia (0-2), drew a total of over 5.4 viewers on average across three TV channels in the United States - two in Spanish and one in English - on 03/06/2016.

The USA - Colombia match drew 3.9 million viewers on average for the Spanish-language co-broadcast on the two pay-TV channels of the Univision Communications group, UniMás (generalist channel) and UDN (Univision Deportes Network, sports-themed channel), while the game drew 1.536 million on the English-language pay-TV channel Fox Sports 1 (property of the American Fox Entertainment Group, itself a subsidy of 21st Century Fox).

Two days later, on 05/06/2016, the Mexico - Uruguay (3-1) group stage match drew a total of 5.1 million viewers on average on the same channels in the United States: 3.8 million viewers on UniMás and UDN; 1.3 million on Fox Sports 1.
