"Unfortunately, we have no control over social movements. Of course it worries us and it's not going in the direction which we would like. We would like the mobility of people to be as smooth as possible," said Jacques Lambert, president of EURO 2016 SAS, on 08/06/2016, regarding the transportation strikes in France, while Euro 2016 begins with France-Romania, on Friday 10/06/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

"We are paying very close attention to what is going to happen with Air France (strike notice from 11 to 14/06/2016). With the train strike, we will try to adapt, we will not modify plans too much, in travelling by air instead of train, etc. It's not a good situation, and I regret the current climate," added Jacques Lambert, during a Euro 2016 launch press conference, held at the Stade de France, in the company of David Guetta, musical ambassador of Euro 2016, Gianluigi Collina, head of refereeing for UEFA, Theodore Theodoridis, acting general secretary of UEFA, and Martin Kallen, director of UEFA Events SA operations (photo).
