Liga BBVA: Valencia CF create an eSports team and want them to be a "leader in electronic sports"

Valencia CF (Liga BBVA) presented a 4 member eSports team at the Estadio de Mestalla, on 07/06/2016. The club is the first in Spain to have an eSports team.

The four members of the Valencia CF eSports team will represent the club on the online game "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft". The club also announced that three players - not yet chosen - will be its representatives on the Rocket Laguen game, a game which mixes cars with football. Other teams playing on other games will be created in the coming months.

"Valencia CF want to be a leader in the electronic sports sector, participating in the world's most prestigious tournaments on games which are the most popular among fans. National and international tournaments are excellent opportunities for brand visibility," said the club during the presentation of their eSport team.

• "Our goal for the first year is to reach 10 million unique visitors on event broadcasts with the players of our team," said the club.
