Premier League: BetEast (betting) becomes the shirt sponsor of Swansea City for 2016-17

The online betting company BetEast has become the shirt sponsor of Swansea City AFC (Premier League) for the 2016-17 season, the club announced on 02/06/2016. BetEast also becomes the club's "official Asian betting and gaming partner".

BetEast replaces the online trading company GWFX as the shirt sponsor of the Swans, who paid an estimated £4m (€5.6m) in 2015-16. The financial details of the agreement with BetEast were not disclosed, but it is a "club-record sponsorship deal". The newly created UK website of BetEast lists the duration of the shirt sponsorship contract as "2016-2019".

"We are pleased to welcome BetEast into the Swansea City family. It is an exciting partnership and the biggest front of shirt deal the club has ever secured,’’ stated Leigh Dineen, the vice-chairman and commercial director of Swansea City.
