Bayern Munich: opening of an office in Shanghai on 01/09/2016 to develop the club brand in China

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) will open an office in Shanghai (China) to develop its brand in the country, announced the club on 14/06/2016. The China office, the second one abroad after Bayern opened an office in New York City (United States) in July 2014, will be inaugurated on 01/09/2016.

The staff in Shanghai, will be composed of six people, and will be led by Rouven Kasper (34 years old), who had until now held a position in the German section of Lagardère Sports, the sports division of Lagardère Sports and Entertainment.

"Based on his many years of experience in sports marketing, Rouven Kasper is the ideal appointment for FC Bayern as head of out Shanghai office. We are certain he and his team in China will help FC Bayern make significant progress in its internationalisation in Asia thanks to their great commitment and expert knowledge," said Jörg Wacker, board director for internationalisation and strategy of Bayern Munich, on 14/06/2016.
